Carmen B. St. Pierre, 88 of Lewiston, passed away at Central Maine Medical Center on, Tuesday, December 5, 2017. She was formerly a resident of Clover Manor, Auburn. She was the daughter of Antonio and Blanche Bernier Dumont. Born in Lewiston on January 24, 1929. She was educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of ’49. She married her high school sweetheart Raymond St. Pierre in 1962. She worked as a teller for serval local banks. In her younger years she enjoyed being a member of the Prospect Hill Golf Club, she enjoyed arts and crafts. …

Bertrand Antoine Lampron, 78, of Lewiston, passed away at Central Maine Medical Center on Sunday, December 3, 2017, after a short period of declining health due to heart disease. Born in Lewiston on January 16, 1939, Bert was the son of Leo and Dora (Cote) Lampron. He graduated from Lewiston High School, Class of ’57. During his younger years, Bert worked various construction jobs, and then for many years up to his retirement he worked for IPAC Fabrics, Inc. (formerly Quinco Fabrics, Inc.) in Lewiston. In retirement, he worked part-time for United Ambulance Wheelchair Division, where he greatly enjoyed working with the clients and his coworkers. …

William H. Ricker, 88 years old, of Lewiston, died after a short illness on December 5, 2017 at the Hospice House in Auburn. William, better known as Poppy, was born in Lewiston on June 22, 1929 to George and Beatrice (Gahagan) Ricker. He attended Lewiston schools and enlisted in the Army in 1946. He married Patricia LeClair on May 26, 1951 and raised three children. He worked at the Lewiston Sun Journal as a printer for 48 years. He loved spending his summers with his family at his cottage at Stover’s Cove in South Harpswell. He enjoyed watching sports including baseball, hockey, football, and especially loved watching his great-granddaughter, Jordyn, play basketball and softball. …

Jackie F. Thornton, 88, formerly of Fair Street, Lewiston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Clover Health Care, where she has resided for the last nine years. Jackie was born in Lewiston on April 23, 1929, the daughter of Alice and Gontran Fortin. She was raised in New Auburn and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1947.  She married Frederick Thornton in 1952 and together they raised their two sons in Lewiston.  Jackie worked in the advertising department at the Sun Journal for thirty years, retiring in 1980. She and Fred enjoyed many happy years in retirement, playing golf and wintering in Florida.  …

Roina (Ina) F. (Harrington) Wing Berube, 84, of Lewiston, passed away on November 19, 2017. She was born in Wayne, ME on March 2, 1933, the daughter of the late Edwin and Edith (Nickerson) Harrington. She attended local schools and also took some college courses. After living in Hebron for many years, she returned to Lewiston, where during her illness she was supported by her sister Bonnie Caron and her good friend Peter Bonk. She was a retired Administrator from Pineland Center in Pownal. She was a former Selectman for the Town of Hebron where she loved to dedicate her time, Treasurer of the 20M Social Club, former owner of the Ponderosa Cafe, and she also was a Fire and Rescue volunteer in the town of Hebron until her retirement. …

Theresa M. James "Terry", 60, of Lewiston, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Lewiston on March 24, 1957, she was the fifth of sixteen children to Roland and Rosalie Knowlton Pomerleau. Educated in Lisbon schools, Terry was a graduate of Lisbon High School Class of ’76. She worked as a CNA at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for 37 years, retiring due to health issues. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, taking pictures of everyone and everything, traveling with her husband Rick, snuggling/spoiling her pets and especially loved time spent with her family and friends. …

Aletha L. Blackmore, 1923 - 2017

Aletha L. Blackmore, 94, of Auburn, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at her home. She was born in Greene on June 2, 1923, the daughter of Charles and Louise Additon Meade. The family moved to auburn in 1931 where she attended the Auburn schools, graduating from Edward Little High School, class of ’40. She attended Bliss Business College, then worked in personal finance, Bates College alumni office. She decided to change careers so attended University of Maine, Orono, graduating class of ’48. Aletha also worked for Auburn school department as a home economics teacher. …

Yvette R. Pelletier, 88, formerly of 122 Old Greene Road, Lewiston, died Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at the d’Youville Pavilion following a long illness. Born in Augusta on June 22, 1929, she was the daughter of Onisime and Odile Moreau Bell. Educated locally, she married Real J. Pelletier on  August 30, 1952. Mr. Pelletier passed away on October 1, 1983. She worked in the Continental Mill for several years, and became a homemaker after the birth of her second son. A member of Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish, she was a former member of the Ladies of St. Ann and Sabattus Seniors. …

Constance R. Lambert, 83, formerly of 99 Winter Street, Lewiston, died peacefully Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Montello Manor. She was born in Lewiston on December 11, 1933, she was the daughter of Antoine and Blanch Grenier Cote. She attended local schools, and was a graduate of Lewiston High School. Connie worked in sales for many local business. She loved to sing and play the piano, and her love of music and beautiful voice will forever be a cherished memory. She was proud to be the Charter President of the Lewiston Emblem Club # 528. Survivors include her daughter Kiki and husband Marc Royer of Lewiston, her son-in-law Paul Scott of Rochester, New York, three grandchildren, Matthew Roy, Amanda Ostrander, and Michael Scott Christiansen, five great-grandchildren, Adrianna and Nadia Roy, and Andrew, William, and Charlie Ostrander, three sisters, Clemence Aquilino, Colette Cyr, and Colombe Loef, a brother Yvon Cote, and many nieces and nephews. …

Paul R. Monier, 74, of Lisbon and formerly of Greene, died on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at the Lamp Nursing Home in Lisbon, where he had been a resident for the past year. Born in Lewiston on August 8, 1943, he was the son of Alphonse and Ninette Dion Monier. Educated locally, he was a talented and resourceful automotive mechanic, and worked in the service department of Louis Chevrolet for many years, and then opened his own business, Monier’s Car Care. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Lee Monier of Lewiston, a son, Todd and fiance Donna Berube of Auburn, two daughters, Debbie and husband John Stevens of Monmouth, and Cindy and husband Peter Griffin of Randolph, a brother, Jean Monier of Southport, NC, six grandchildren, Candace, Brittney, Amanda, Corey, Alicia, and Adam, and two great-grandchildren, Brianna and Olivia.
