Adrian Labbe, 1915 - 2014

Adrian Labbe, 99, of Livermore, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at the Hospice House in Auburn. Born in Wallagrass on April 19, 1915, he was the son of Flavie Lauze and August Labbe. He grew up in Wallagrass, being the sixth of twelve siblings. The family moved to Lewiston when he was sixteen. During the war he was a member of the CCC camp, as a truck driver. He spent most of his life as a truck driver. He was extremely capable mechanically and was awarded many recognitions for his mechanical inventions while employed at Bates Mill for 25 years. In 1938 he met and married Cecile Tremblay. The couple settled in Lewiston and raised two sons. He is survived by his two sons, Maurice and wife Dorine Labbe of Bailey Island, and Paul and his wife Dorothy Labbe of Livermore, whom Adrian lived with for the past 12 years. He was blessed with six grandchildren; John Labbe of Cumberland, Ann Marie and her husband James McLaughlin of Chestnut Hill, MA, Michael and his wife Shannon Labbe of Brunswick, Fred and his wife Pat Labbe of South Paris, and Maureen Labbe of Livermore Falls, nine great-grandchildren Jema Wheatley, Jake, Ellie, and Caroline McLaughlin, Jack and Audrey Labbe, and Tommy and Lauren Labbe, and Megen Poulin, and several nieces and nephews. His life reflects the best of all those who came to this area with high principles and values, to work hard to attain the American dream. He will be missed by all. Adrian was predeceased by his wife, Cecile in 1996, and his grandson Jamie Labbe 1992. 

                                                     Funeral Notice

LABBE, Adrian, 99, of Livermore, died in Auburn on July 30, 2014. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, from 9 AM to 10:30 AM. Services will be Monday, 11 AM, Holy Family Church. Interment, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.
