Susan Anne Marie Beliveau, 1942 - 2016

Susan Beliveau passed away on February 25, 2016 at the Auburn Hospice House with family by her side. She was born February 12, 1942. She lived in Lewiston with her parents for most of her young and adult life. Susan attended Mary Joseph Academy in Biddeford, ME and graduated with Honors in June of 1959. After graduation she attended Mary Mount College. In addition she graduated from Mr. Bernard’s School of Hair Fashion in 1975. Her disabilities prevented her from further work or other pursuits during her adult life. She was a patient at Russell Park Manor over last few years. …

Cecile E. Guay, 1929 - 2016

Cecile E. Guay, 86, of 800 Main Street, Lewiston, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Auburn. Born in Lewiston on March 25, 1929, she was the daughter of Albert and Mildred Morse Bourgea. In 1950 she married Gerald A. Guay, and together they raised their two children. Gerald passed away on August 22, 2013. She was educated in local schools, and earned her GED at the age of 61. She worked as a spinner at Bate’s Fabrics for 43 years, retiring at age 60. She was a true fan of the Boston Red Sox and never missed watching a game, and also enjoyed watching the New England Patriots.  …

Margaret Frances Ridlon, 93, formerly of 12 Ridlon Road, Lisbon, died Monday, February 22, 2016, at the Seaside Nursing Home in Portland, where she had been a resident since August. Born in Augusta on February 3, 1923, she was the daughter of William and M. Frances Waite Keenan. She was educated in Norway and Lewiston schools, and was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of ‘41. On March 17, 1944, she married George C. Ridlon in Texas. A photo engraver for the Lewiston Sun Journal, Mr. Ridlon passed away on January 14, 1999. A longtime member of the former St. …

Rachel C. Turgeon "Meme", 63, a resident of Russell Park Manor and formerly of Monmouth, died unexpectedly Friday, February 19, 2016, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lewiston on March 10, 1952, she was the daughter of Leo and Mariette Ruel Turgeon. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of ’71. She was employed as a Medical Technician at Heritage Rehab and Living Center in Winthrop for many years, retiring due to illness in 2001. Rachel was a loving and caring Mom and Meme always looking forward to time spent with family, friends, and was the "life of the party", always looking for ways to make people laugh and smile. …

Romeo E. Poulin, 90, servant of God, husband, and father, passed on at his home in Auburn on February 2, 2016, surrounded by his wife and family. Romeo was born in Lewiston on March 28, 1925, the son of Arestide and Adrienne Bilodeau Poulin, and raised in Lac Megantic, P.Q. Canada. In 1943, after Primary School, Romeo entered the religious community of Cleric St. Viateur in Joliette, P.Q., where he received training in electrical, drafting, and building construction. In 1950 he was assigned to a school and mission in Kyoto, Japan, where he served as construction foreman and vocational teacher. …
