Jacqueline Deschenes Therrien, 91 of Lewiston, passed away on Saturday, June 28 with her family by her side. She was born in Lewiston on October 1, 1922, the daughter of Alfred and Leda Deschenes. A life long resident of Lewiston, she started her working career as a welder at the Bath Iron shipyards in South Portland during the 1940's.  She married Robert A Therrien in February of 1947, raised her family in the Ste Croix parish and worked as a fancy stitcher at several manufacturers including Pepperell, Auerbach, and Etonics. She was a devoted wife, mother and memere, who enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing cards, and spending time with her family. …

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother (nana), Muguette Irene Bilodeau Boutin passed away on Thursday June 26, 2014, at d’Youville Pavilion. She was born in Lewiston on May 19, 1923, the daughter of Joseph and Desneige Bilodeau. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of ’42. She married Roland Joseph Boutin on June 27, 1942. Bunny was self employed for many years as a beautician, and owned and operated her business “Chez Muguette”. She attended First Assembly of God Church. For many years she and her husband Roland were active in the development and success of the John F. Murphy Homes for the mentally challenged, and were involved from the early beginnings of the L & A Association’s Garcelon School, which also founded the Madison Avenue school programs. …

Norman A. Verville, 87, of 42 Damy Drive, Auburn, and a former longtime resident of Western Avenue in Auburn, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice Services in Auburn. Born in Lewiston on May 14, 1927, he was the son of Henri and Alma Carbonneau Verville. Educated in local schools, he was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of ’44. A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Navy. He returned to Lewiston after his Honorable Discharge, and on June 5, 1948, he married the former Lina Beaulieu. Norm worked as a bookkeeper for several years at Palmer Construction Co., and eventually became a partner. …

Wilson K. “Bill” Chapman, 1933 - 2014

Wilson K. “Bill” Chapman, 81, of Auburn, died Sunday, June 22, 2014, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice Services. Born in Elmira, NY, on January 19, 1933, he was the son of Wilson and Elisbeth Carr Chapman. He was a graduate of Southside High School, Class of ’51. On July 9, 1960 he married the former Lucille Bail of Lewiston. Mrs. Chapman passed away on April 10, 2004. Bill worked in sales for several companies including Fairchild, Digital Equipment Corporation, NEC, Toshiba and later as an executive recruiter for Intrinsix, spending most of his career living and working in Acton Massachusetts and Brookline New Hampshire. …

Our beloved Husband, Father and Grand ”Pa”, Frank Joseph O’Connell, passed away on Friday, June 20th at Brigham’s and Women’s Hospital in Boston after a brief illness with his family at his side.

He was born in Lewiston on March 3, 1931, the son of Frank Patrick and Delphine “Cyr” O’Connell. He graduated from Lewiston High School, class of 1949. While in high school he participated in baseball, track, hockey and also served as the basketball manager. He joined the Maine Army National Guard in 1948 while in high school. He was also a 1951 graduate of the Army Signal School.

Geraldine T Fecteau, 76, of Auburn, passed away peacefully at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Auburn, on June 6, 2014, after an unexpected brief illness. She spent her last few days surrounded by all her family and friends. Daughter of Albany and Arlene Cyr Martin, she was born in Guerette, Maine, on May 14, 1938. Following the death of her father, she was raised by her mother and step-father, Gerry Bunham. She was a beautiful women with a heart of gold. She enjoyed sitting on her porch watching the birds, her favorite being the hummingbirds. …

Florence R. Webber went to be with her Lord and loving husband on June 5th at the Hospice House in Auburn. She was born October 6, 1919 in Lewiston to Adelard and Yvonne Daigneault Gousse. She spent most of her younger years in Danville, but more recently was a resident at the Schooner Estates in Auburn. Florence graduated from Edward Little High School in 1937. On September 30th, 1944, she married the love of her life Erwin C. Webber. They were married 56 years. Together they raised three daughters, Pam, Debbie, and Tina. Florence was an 80 year member of Danville Jct. …

Peter Kiskunas, 1915 - 2014

Peter Kiskunas, 98, of 100 Campus Avenue, Lewiston, died Monday, June 2, 2014, at the d’Youville Pavilion. Born in Lithuania on July 1, 1915, he was the son of Juozapas and Salomeia Bukis Kiskunas. Educated in Lithuanian schools, he came to the U.S. in 1949, joining his uncle Kazimar “Charles” Bukis in Lewiston. On September 3, 1966, he married the former Lauretta Pinard LeBlanc at the Lithuanian Franciscan Monastery in Greene. Mrs. Kiskunas passed away on December 26, 2005. A member of the former St. Patrick’s Parish, he worked in the winding room of Bates Manufacturing for 29 years, retiring in 1978. …

Kenneth A. Card, 1927 - 2014

Kenneth A. Card, 87, of 129 South Avenue, Lewiston, died May 31st, 2014, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 8, 1927 in Auburn to Arnold and Regina Baumann Card. He was inducted in the U.S Army July 23, 1945 as a PFC and joined the 787th Military Police Battalion. He served in Germany and France, and was honorably discharged on January 12, 1947. He received an Army of Occupation, Good Conduct, and World War II Victory Medals. He was a 1948 graduate of Edward Little High School, where he played baseball and basketball. On November 15,1952, he married his true love Theresa Clabby. …
