Joan I. Soule, 79, formerly of 37 Academy Street, Auburn, died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Montello Manor in Lewiston. Born in Lewiston on October 6, 1935, She was the daughter of Charles H. and Rose de Lima (Del) Charest Soule. Educated at St. Patrick’s School and Lewiston High School, She was a shoe shop worker, a CNA at Marcotte Nursing Home, and moved to Florida 30 years ago where she worked customer service for a credit card processing center. Joan died peacefully with her sister and family at her side. She leaves her sister, Doris Ducharme, her niece Rosemarie and husband Thomas Vining, her nephews Ronald and wife Judy; Jeffrey and wife Nancy; and Kevin and wife Penny Ducharme; 12 grand nieces and nephews, and she was especially pleased to be a great-great-aunt. …

Laurianne Michaud Cormier, 102, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at St. Mary’s Marguerite D’Youville Pavilion following a short illness and an amazing life.  She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lewiston on July 12, 1912, the first of six children to Frank and Lea Goulet Michaud. She was educated by St. Peter’s Parochial School and become the provider for her family after graduating from Cours Superior in 1928. In 1940 she married Philippe Cormier and raised two daughters. Laurianne gave far more of herself than she demanded of others.  …

Blandine Yvette Goulet-Bilodeau, 1913 - 2015

Dearly loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Blandine Yvette Goulet-Bilodeau passed away in Naples, Florida on June, 18, 2015 after 101 years of a life well lived. Blandine was born in Ste. Claire, Quebec to Francois and Eugenie Beaudoin Goulet in September of 1913. After completing her education in the Province of Quebec, Blandine moved to Quebec City where she was employed as a dessert cook in the home of British Foreign Service dignitaries, the Rt. Honorable Sir Price and his wife, Lady Price. It was there that she met her husband, Gerard Bilodeau. The couple married in Honfleur, Canada in 1933 and moved to Lewiston, Maine. …

Dorothy Anne Poole, 87, died peacefully after a brief illness at Spartanburg Regional Hospital in Spartanburg, South Carolina on April 2, 2015. “Dot” was born on October 19, 1927 in Charlotte, NC, the daughter of Oliver William and Mariam Hammett Dodd. She was raised in Greenville, SC, and graduated from Greenville High School in 1944. She continued her schooling and graduated from college with a passion for early childhood education. On December 4, 1946 Dot married her lifelong companion of 56 years, William Vernon Poole. Over the years they moved frequently with employment opportunity for Vernon, and Dorothy continued with her career working in various child care facilities. …

Born Feb. 3, 1934, in Portland, she was the daughter of Gordon and Jennie Day. She worked at Holiday Inn by the Bay for many years and also Salvation Army. Her interests were puzzles and puzzle books.

She is survived by son, David Flick and daughter-in-law, Roxanne; daughter, Deborah Hale; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; also her beloved cat, Friskey.

 Jeannine Marie Victoria (Chamberland) Bergeron, of 5 Pond Road, Lewiston, died at home on Monday, June 15, 2015, surrounded by several of the many who loved her dearly. She was born at home on September 25, 1937, the eldest of four children of Laurette (Gendron) and Lionel Chamberland. She remembered a happy, busy childhood surrounded by a large extended nurturing family and friends. She was proud of her Franco-American heritage.  She treasured her sense of humor which was preserved to the very end. Cloutier, 81, 211 Randall Road, Lewiston, and formerly residing for fifty years at 13 Ventura Street, Lewiston, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice in Auburn, in the presence of loving family members. Born in Lewiston on August 2, 1933, she was the daughter of Emile and Maria Poulin Provencher who pre-deceased her. He passed at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Auburn, and after a courageous battle with Pancreatic cancer he is now at peace in the arms of the Lord Jesus. Laurianne B. Roderick, 92, of 15 Stevens Avenue, Randolph, and formerly a longtime resident of 7 Rejane Avenue, Lewiston, died at the home she shared with her daughter on Thursday, June 4, 2015. Born in Canada on February 20, 1923, she moved to Lewiston at a young age and was raised by her stepfather and mother, Joseph and Rose Cote Berube. Educated in local schools, she was employed for many years as a loom operator in the textile industry. On June 13, 1943, she married Rosario W. Roderick. Mr. Roderick passed away in 1976. A member of Ss. Peter & Paul Basilica, Prince of Peace Parish, she enjoyed knitting, crochet, and for many years taught ceramics out of her home on Rejane Avenue. …

Candice M. McCluskey, 62, of Lewiston, passed away Sunday, June 7 after a long illness. She was born April 16th, 1953 in Presque Isle, the daughter of Ruby (Patterson) Bragdon and Leroy Bragdon Sr. She married Roy (Keith) McCluskey Dec. 16, 1972. Candy worked at Miller Industries in her early years. She enjoy panning for gold at Coos Canyon, camping, long rides, knitting, doing volunteer work at Schooner Estates and taking care of her many nieces and nephews. She had a big heart and was always thinking of others. She spent 15 years on kidney dialysis. During much of that time she would be the Easter Bunny for all her co-patients and on Halloween she would bring them treat bags. …

Born in Lewiston on October 17, 1932, she was the daughter of Arthur and Germaine Fraser Thibault. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of ’50.
