Constance L. Gosselin, 1946 - 2012

Constance L. Gosselin, 66, formerly of 135 Bartlett Street, Lewiston, died Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at the d’Youville Pavilion, following a nine year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Lewiston on July 4, 1946, she was the daughter of John and Carmen Polka. Educated in local schools, she was a member of the former St. Patrick’s Parish. A devoted mother to her two sons, Connie enjoyed collecting Elvis memorabilia, listening to music, and going out dancing with her friends. She is survived by two sons, Eric and wife Maggie of Homewood, IL, and John of Lewiston, two grandsons, Ethan and Austin, a sister, Dorothy and husband Felix Boucher of Lewiston, and a niece, Diana Smith of Lewiston.

James Paul Roy, 62, of Greene, died peacefully at home after a short but courageous battle with brain cancer on Monday, November 12, 2012, with his family by his side. Jim was born in Lewiston on October 28, 1950, the son of Philibert and Yvonne Roy.  Educated locally, he was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of ’69, and joined the National Guard. He met his wife Sue Poole in the fall of 1968, and they married in May of 1971. He worked several years for his father in construction, but decided to open his own Bait and Tackle Shop in the late 70’s in New Auburn. …

Yvan R. Saucier, 83, of 326 North River Road, Auburn, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. Born in New Brunswick, Canada, on February 16, 1929, he was the son of William and Leane Marneault Saucier. On October 11, 1959, he married the former Kathleen M. Daigle in Canada. They made their home in Auburn, and he worked for many years for Snow’s Tire Co., later retiring from Stratham Tire. Always very good with his hands, Yvan enjoyed woodworking and doing craft shows with his wife. Frances M. Murray, 1938 - 2012

Frances M. Murray, 74, of 620 College Road, Lewiston, died Saturday, November 3, 2012, at the Clover Manor in Auburn. Born in Greene on October 16, 1938, she was the daughter of Nathan O. and Margaret M. Croteau Helms. Educated in local schools, she married Joseph T. Murray on February 27, 1960. A member of the former St. Joseph’s Church, she enjoyed baking, sewing, decorating cakes, quilting , spending time with her dog Do-Do and caring for her extended family. Survivors include her loving husband, Joseph Murray of Lewiston; two daughters, Laura and husband Mark Barry of Mechanic Falls, and Tina Hebert and longtime companion Jerry Boucher of Lewiston; a son, Andrew and wife Patricia of Auburn; a sister, Nathalie and husband Jerry Veilleux of Greene; seven grandchildren, Nicholas Hogan and wife Jennifer, Zachary Hebert and wife Jean, Joseph Hogan, Kira Hebert, Kayla Hutchinson and husband Adam, Amber-Rose Bissonnette, and Orion Murray; and six great-grandchildren, Beatrice Chambless, Sydney Hutchinson, Saryah Hutchinson, Matthew Blair, Fynnigan Hutchinson, and Chase Hogan.

Lois Jean Tabor Fulton, 56, of 245 Witham Road, Auburn, went home Sunday, October 28, 2012, at Central Maine Medical Center, following a long illness. Born in Lewiston on February 13, 1956, the daughter of George and Melba Cook Tabor. Educated locally, she was a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of ’74, and received a degree in Business Administration from Mid-State College. She spent many years working as a CNA, and also at Executive Communications, but then put her life on hold to care for others. Lois was always ready and willing to help, and always put the health and welfare of her family and friends ahead of her own. …
