Candice M. McCluskey, 1953 - 2015

Candice M. McCluskey, 62, of Lewiston, passed away Sunday, June 7 after a long illness. She was born April 16th, 1953 in Presque Isle, the daughter of Ruby (Patterson) Bragdon and Leroy Bragdon Sr. She married Roy (Keith) McCluskey Dec. 16, 1972. Candy worked at Miller Industries in her early years. She enjoy panning for gold at Coos Canyon, camping, long rides, knitting, doing volunteer work at Schooner Estates and taking care of her many nieces and nephews. She had a big heart and was always thinking of others. She spent 15 years on kidney dialysis. During much of that time she would be the Easter Bunny for all her co-patients and on Halloween she would bring them treat bags. She enjoyed making others feel special. She was an animal lover and spoiled all of them. She is survived by her husband Keith of 42 years. Sisters, Lois Towle of Lewiston, Louise Pelletier of Biddeford, Ruth Thompson and husband Michael of Lisbon, Janice Coburn and partner Leon Kimball of Wales, Lisa Proctor and husband Jerry of Lisbon, and Cathy Proctor and husband Mark of Lisbon. Brothers, Leroy Bragdon Jr., of Lewiston, Harold Bragdon and wife Yvonne of Oxford, Gerald Bragdon and wife Selina of Yarmouth, Alfred Bragdon and wife Judy of Farmington, NH. Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and each one of them had a place in her heart. Also her best friend and care giver, Judie McCluskey. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Richie Bragdon, nieces Sara Bragdon and Janice Pelletier.

Funeral Notice

McCLUSKEY, Candice, 62, of Lewiston, died in Lewiston, on Sunday, June 7, 2015. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, 6 - 9 PM. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, 2 PM. Interment, Monmouth Ridge Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the Children's Cancer Association, 1200 NW Naito Parkway, Suite 140, Portland, OR 97209.
