Carmen I. Morin, 92, formerly of 45 Old Greene Road, Lewiston, and a resident of Schooner Estates in Auburn for the past seven years, died Thursday, June 15, 2017, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Auburn. Born in Lewiston on December 9, 1924, she was the daughter of George and Imelda Gagne Bosse. She grew up in Little Canada, and on August 14, 1945, she married Rene L. Morin. Mr. Morin passed away on July 14, 2006. Carmen worked for several years in the local shoe industry and for Raytheon, and she was a dedicated wife and mother. Carmen loved to dance, cook for her family, and was a talented seamstress. She will be greatly missed at Schooner Estates, were she was known for her sunny disposition and ready smile. A member of Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish, she is survived by a son, Richard and wife Lora of Turner, two daughters, Joan and husband Arthur Stavros of Tamarac, FL, and Claudette and husband Charles Saul of Jasper, FL, twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two daughters, Claire Thorne in 2012, and Pauline Wheelington, 2014. 

Funeral Notice

MORIN, Carmen, 92, of Auburn, died in Auburn on Thursday, June 15, 2017. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, 2 - 4 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, 11 AM. Interment, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, Hospice House Fund, 15 Strawberry Avenue, Lewiston, ME 04240.
