Claudette V. Poulin, 71, of 318 Pond Road, Lewiston, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. Born in Lewiston on August 13, 1943, she was the daughter of Renee and Marie Jaques Violette. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1961. on July 4,1964, she married Richard Poulin, who passed away in 1984. Prior to retiring, she was employed as a fancy stitcher in several local shoe shops, including Falcon and Knapp Shoes. A member of Ss. Peter & Paul Basilica, Prince of Peace Parish, she was very active in church life, volunteering for the choir, Altreya, St. Martin de Porres, and several other church organizations. Survivors include two sons, Larry and Ray, both of Lewiston, a daughter, Vivianne Poulin of Lewiston, a brother, Ray Violette of Portland, and three grandchildren, Alexis and Michael Poulin and Kate Lozis.  Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Anita Violette.

Funeral Notice

POULIN, Claudette, 71, of Lewiston, died in Lewiston on September 17, 2014. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM. Services will be Monday, 11 AM, in the Lower Church of Ss. Peter & Paul Basilica. Interment, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to either St. Martin de Porres, P.O. Box 7227, Lewiston, ME 04243-7227, or to Ss. Peter & Paul Basilica, c/o Prince of Peace Parish, P.O. Box 1540, Lewiston, ME 04241-1540.
