Eleanor T. Frazier Ritchie, 1939 - 2016

Eleanor T. Frazier Ritchie, of Lewiston, was carried to Heaven by Angels in the early morning hours on Monday, April 11, 2016, with her loving family by her side. She was born to Joseph and Eva (Dutra) Frazier on August 26, 1939, in Middleboro, MA. She married Carroll A. Ritchie in 1956 and together they raised five children, they were married for 34 years. Eleanor worked for many years in the local shoe industry and then at Pineland Center as a caregiver. She also worked as a CNA locally for a time. She dedicated her life to the love and support of her family. She enjoyed playing Skip-Bo and dice and most recently watching Blue Bloods and Judge Judy. Survived by 3 daughters, Joan Hall and husband Scott Sr. of Lewiston, Susan Ritchie and husband Michael Buckley of Monmouth and Jean Adamen and husband Peter of Turner. A son Jeffrey Ritchie and fiancé Michelle Brown of Sabattus. Also grandchildren Benjamin and Timothy Reynolds, Allissa Adamen, and fiancé Nick Gurney, Amanda Adamen, Katherine and Melissa Ritchie, Rodney Ritchie Jr., Brooke Ritchie, great-granddaughter Avrie Mae Eleanor Adamen, a great-grandson on the way, a godchild James Henault, great-niece Chelsie St. Laurent and many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eleanor is also survived by 3 sisters all of Massachusetts, Evelyn Henault and Husband Jack, Barbara Pearson and Ruth Preti, 3 brothers all of Massachusetts, Richard Frazier and wife Penny, Bobby Frazier and Ronald Frazier, and sister in-law of Massachusetts Joanne Frazier. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends especially Paulette Burpee, Paulette Junge and Ruth MacDonald. Eleanor is predeceased by her parents, a son Rodney Ritchie Sr. and his wife Jayna, brother Ernest Frazier, twin sisters Jean and Joan Frazier, brother in-laws John Preti Sr. and Maxwell Pearson as well as several nieces and nephews all from Massachusetts. Many thanks to Bates College, her many doctors and the staff at CMMC and Androscoggin Home Health and Hospice.

Funeral Notice

RITCHIE, Eleanor, of Lewiston, was carried to Heaven by Angels in the early morning hours on Monday, April 11, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, April 18th, in the Lower Church of the Ss. Peter & Paul Basilica, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Franco-American Heritage Center. Donations may be made in her memory to Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, Hospice House Fund, 15 Strawberry Avenue, Lewiston, ME 04240.
