Georgette R. Pomerleau, 74, formerly of 11 Tammy Lane, Lewiston, and a resident of Clover Healthcare Facility in Auburn for the past three years, died Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice in Auburn. Born in Lewiston on May 27, 1943, she was the daughter of George and Roseanna Moreau Houle. Educated locally, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of ‘61. On May 11, 1963, she married Roland Pomerleau. Mr. Pomerleau passed away on November 1, 2004. Georgette loved to travel, and she and her husband especially enjoyed cruises. For many years they summered at the Powder Horn Campground in Old Orchard Beach. In her later years, she enjoyed Bingo, cross stitching, needlepoint, painting her nails, adult coloring books, and she loved hazelnut coffee. She grew up in Holy Cross Church, and was a member of Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish. Survivors include her mother, Roseanna Houle of Auburn, two daughters, Susan Green of Auburn, and Sandra and husband Arthur “Joey” Bourget Jr. of West Gardiner, and three grandchildren, Morgan Green, Marisa Green, and Emma Bourget. Besides her father and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Gerard Houle. While saddened by her loss, the family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with the love of her life, Roland. 



Funeral Notice


POMERLEAU, Georgette, 74, of Auburn, died in Auburn on Wednesday, June 14, 2017. A Liturgy of the Word Service will be held Wednesday, 1 PM, in the Mausoleum Chapel of St. Peter’s Cemetery. No visitation. Donations may be made in her memory to the Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, Hospice House Fund, 15 Strawberry Avenue, Lewiston, ME 04240.
