Judith Ann Rancourt, 1939 - 2013

Judith Ann Rancourt, 74, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully at Montello Manor, on December 10, 2013, following a long illness. She was born on July 8, 1939, the daughter of Pearl and Frank Hallowell Sr. She attended Yarmouth schools. On June 29, 1968, she married Charles Rancourt in Lewiston, Maine. They just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this year. Judy was a homemaker and raised her two daughters, and later in life enjoyed all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family. Despite all her health issues over the last several years, Judy held strong to her Catholic faith and knew that God would take care of her and see her home safely where she would finally be healthy and without pain once again. Judy is survived by her husband Charles Rancourt of Lewiston, her two daughters, Julie Ayer of New Gloucester and Frances Demers of Auburn, one sister, Nancy Hallowell of Gardiner, three brothers, Frank Hallowell Jr of Lewiston, Dale Hallowell and his wife Sue of Greenville, NH, and Brian Hallowell and his wife Holly of Mount Vernon, and her step-mother whom she loved dearly, June Hallowell of Bath. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Laura, Kevin, Nicholas, and Benjamin Ayer, of Lewiston, Caitlin and Amber Demers, of Minot, Brandon and Logan Laliberte of Auburn, seven great-grandchildren, Kiara, Cayden, Kellsie, Ruby, Tony, Maddie, Cameron, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother and father. The Rancourt Family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at Montello Manor and and the Commons for the excellent care they provided to Judy as well as the care they continue to provide for their father during this difficult time. Also to the staff at Androscoggin Hospice for the care and support. 



Funeral Notice


RANCOURT, Judith Ann, 74, of Lewiston, died in Lewiston on December 10, 2013. Visitation will be held at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home on Saturday, from 2 - 4 PM, with a liturgy of the word service at 3 PM. Interment will be in the spring, Broadview Cemetery. Donations may be made in her honor to Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice Memorial Program, Development Department, 15 Strawberry Avenue, Lewiston, Maine 04240.
