Louise D. Nadeau, 1917 - 2015

Louise D. Nadeau, 98, of 20 Great Falls Plaza, Auburn, passed away Friday, October 9, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice  after a very brief illness.

She was born August 6, 1917, in Auburn, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Demers Chaput. She was educated in local schools. She worked in local mills until her early 40’s when she moved to Pamona, California and married her husband, Theodore Nadeau. 

There she worked as a crossing guard, and they returned to Maine after their retirement. 

She was a member of Holy Cross Church, Prince of Peace Parish. She was also a member of Ladies of St. Anne, Holy Cross Seniors and Auburn Senior Citizens.

She is survived by a brother-in-law, Ralph Adams, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband in 1992, her three sisters, Carmen Adams, Marie Lussier, and Florence Smith, and four brothers, Wilfred, Maurice, Ulric, and Armand, and a niece, Rachel Billings. 

Funeral Notice

NADEAU, Louise, 98, of Auburn, died in Auburn on October 9, 2015. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, 10 AM, followed by a Liturgy of the Word Service at 11 AM. Interment, ME Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta. Donations may be made in her memory to the Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, Hospice House Fund, 15 Strawberry Ave., Lewiston, ME 04240.
