Marguerite Argentine Tremblay, 90, formerly of 263 Meadowview Park, Lewiston, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at the Winship Green Nursing Center in Bath. Born on January 1, 1925 in Denain, France, she was the daughter of Giordano and Elisa Cavaletto Pippinato. She lived in France until 1946 when she immigrated to the United States as the wife of Fernand Tremblay.  They raised three children in the Lewiston/Auburn area. Surviving their mother are Francine, the wife of Jean Ouellette of Phippsburg, Maine, Claude Tremblay and his wife Barbara of Greenville, S.C. and Andre Tremblay and his wife Kathryn of Bow, N.H. She is also survived by two grandchildren Daniele Levy of Sudbury, MA and James Ouellette of Seattle, WA; two great-grandchildren, Margaret and Harrison Levy of Sudbury, MA; four step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband Fernand in 2004. Better known as “Argentine” she loved to cook.  She and her husband Fernand owned and operated “Argentine’s French Restaurant” in Turner, Maine for over twenty-five years. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. Her family was everything to her. A special thanks to the nurses and staff at Winship Green Nursing Center in Bath, ME, who cared for her during these last nine years and who became  part of her family. She was loved and will be missed. 




Funeral Notice


TREMBLAY, Marguerite Argentine, 90, of Bath, died in Bath on Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, 12 Noon to 2 PM, followed by a Liturgy of the Word Service in the funeral home at 2 PM. Interment, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association of Maine, 383 U.S. Route 1, Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074.
