Marguerite P. Langelier, 101, of Schooner Estates, Auburn, died in her residence on Monday, November 4, 2013. Born in Lewiston on June 29, 1912, she was the daughter of Adelard and Lumina Levesque Langelier. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Jordan High School, Class of ’30. After graduation, she worked for several years as a clerk at Peck’s Department Store, and then spent over thirty years as the office manager for her brother-in-law, Dr. Maurice Brien. Following Dr. Brien’s retirement, she went to work for the City of Lewiston for three years before retiring herself. in her later years, she lived with her sisters and together they travelled all over the country. A member of Ss. Peter & Paul Basilica, Prince of Peace Parish, she is survived by two cousins, Pauline Levesque Gilbert and husband Robert, and Edward Levesque, all of Lewiston. She was predeceased by three sisters; Madeleine Langelier, Marthe and husband Maurice Brien, MD, and Therese Langelier. The family thanks the staffs of Schooner Estates and Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice Services, especially Dr. Margaret Matthews, for all the loving care they gave Marguerite during her final illness. 



Funeral Notice


LANGELIER, Marguerite, 101, of Auburn, died in Auburn on November 4, 2013.  Services will be held Thursday, 11 AM, in the lower church of Ss. Peter & Paul Basilica. Entombment, St. Peter’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Donations may be made in her honor to either Saint Dominic Academy, Office of Advancement, 121 Gracelawn Road, Auburn, Maine 04210, or Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, Memorial Program, Development Department, 15 Strawberry Avenue, Lewiston, Maine 04240.
