Mary B. Bouchard, 93, of 14 Dawn Avenue, Lewiston, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice in Auburn, following a sudden illness. Born in Lewiston on September 5, 1923, she was the daughter of Bernard and Catherine Harrington Cosgrove. Educated locally, she had a life-long love of learning and was taking courses at the Senior College at USM Lewiston-Auburn right up to this past Fall semester. On March 4, 1946, she married Leo A. After the loss of her husband, she kept her passion and zest for life, living her life her way, on her own, right up until her final illness and hospitalization. She had an indomitable spirit, and a gift for making those around her feel special. A devout Catholic, she was a very active member of the former St. Patrick’s Church, and since its closing she has been a communicant of Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish. She belonged to RENEW, was a longtime member of the Rosary Sodality, and, when her daughter was young, served as a Girl Scout Leader. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lynn Campbell and husband Derrick of San Antonio, TX, a brother, James Cosgrove of Lewiston, three grandchildren, Ashley MacShane and husband Russ of San Antonio, TX, Nolan T. Campbell of San Antonio, TX, and Andrew L. Campbell of Chicago, IL, a great-grandson, Leo MacShane, and one more on the way. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Teresa Cameron and Etta Maybury, and two brothers, Buddy and Mike Cosgrove.
