Lampon Obit Pic 2

Raymond R. Lampron, “Dadou”, 73, formerly of Lewiston, succumbed to complications of COPD on Sunday, July 12, 2015, at the Maine Veterans Home Residential Care Unit, in South Paris, ME. He was born in Lewiston, Maine on Nov. 30, 1941, the son of the late Leo and Dora (Cote) Lampron. Raymond attended Lewiston schools and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1958 to 1962 when he was honorably discharged. Raymond returned to Maine and lived his entire adult life in Lewiston, the city that he loved and was proud to call home. He married Yolande (Guay) Lampron in 1964 and for forty three years they shared their lives, and together they raised their three children, and remained lifelong friends. Raymond worked for many years and retired from L.L. Bean call center in Lewiston, where he enjoyed his work as a team leader in the facilities maintenance department and made many friends. He was nominated by his coworkers in recognition of his work and dedication to the company and received the prestigious Bean’s Best award in 1990 which he valued as a tremendous honor. Raymond was a fun loving father, brother, and friend. He especially enjoyed spending time with his brother Bert watching professional sports, horse racing and playing cards with his family and friends. He was an avid reader and he passed that passion on to his children. Raymond was predeceased by his parents Leo and Dora Lampron, and his brothers-in-law Claude Boucher, and Pierre Jean Guay. He is survived by his brother Bertrand Lampron of Lewiston; his sister Lucille (Lampron) Chilton of Charleston, SC; his former spouse Yolande Lampron; his two sons Marcel Lampron and his wife Debra of Brunswick; Richard Lampron and his wife Heather of Fleetwood, PA; his daughter Nicole Martin and her husband Jeffrey of Solon; his grandson Gregory Lampron and his wife Shannon of Denver, CO; his two granddaughters Gabrielle and Olivia Lampron of Fleetwood, PA; his sisters-in-law Anita Guay Boucher and Jeanne D’Arc Guay of P. QC Canada; brother-in-law Roger Neil and his wife Annette of Ont. Canada;  several nephews and nieces and many friends. Raymond will be greatly missed by his family and friends, however, there is peace that comes with knowing that after struggling with COPD for the past several years, he is finally at rest in the arms of the Lord. The family wishes to thank the staff and doctors at the Maine Veterans Home assisted living facility for the dignified care and comfort they provided to Ray these last four months. He told us often how well he was taken care of. Donations, condolences, and a tribute video may be accessed online at www.albert-burpee.com.
