Richard L. Langelier, 1937 - 2015

Richard L. Langelier, 77, of 26 Fox Run Road, Lewiston, died Sunday, December 6, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with heart disease. Born in Lewiston on December 16, 1937, he was the son of Paul and Yvette Roy Langelier. Educated in local schools, he was a graduate of St. Dominic High School, Class of ’56, and later earned a Bachelor of Science from Husson College in 1964. On December 30, 1961, he married the former Anita L. Roux. For many years he worked as an accountant for the Small Business Administration in Augusta, and later at Langelier & Associates in Lewiston, retiring in 2007. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Apple Valley Golf Course, and also enjoyed playing cards with friends and family. He was a kindhearted and generous individual who was loved by all who met him. He will long be remembered for his witty sense of humor and devotion to family. A member of Holy Cross Church, Prince of Peace Parish, he is survived by his loving wife of nearly 54 years, Anita, a son, Michael and wife Cathie, two daughters, Pam and husband Ron Giroux, and  Lisa and husband Michael Bisson, all of Lewiston, eleven grandchildren: Jennifer Faith and her husband, Jared, Kimberly and Ryan Guerin, Haley, Joseph and Nicholas Bisson, Abigail Langelier, Alex and Joseph Klemanski, Keith Giroux, Colby Giroux and his wife Kate, and two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Evelyn Faith. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Family Health Associates, CMHVI and CMMC Single Stay Unit for their compassionate care.

Funeral Notice


LANGELIER, Richard, 77, of Lewiston, died Sunday, December 6, 2015. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, 5 - 8 PM. A Liturgy of the Word Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, 1 PM. Donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, 51 US Route 1, Suite M, Scarborough, ME 04074.
