Rita B. Thibault, 1927 - 2017

Rita B. Thibault, 89, a longtime resident of 36 Cook Street, Auburn, passed away peacefully at d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston surrounded by family on Saturday, March 25, 2017.

She was born in Lewiston on June 27, 1927, the daughter of the late Louie and Mary Dumont Bouchard. She was educated in the Lewiston schools, and graduated from Lewiston High School, Class of ’46.

Rita worked in the office of Bell Moc shoe factory prior to starting a family.  Once her children were all in school she returned to work as the bookkeeper and office manager for Dr. Gilman Bouchard, and later for Dr. Roger Bergeron where she retired after many years. After she retired, she became very involved as a volunteer at Russell Park Manor and at the St. Louis Food Pantry. She was a very active member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality  and was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Louis Parish. 

She leaves her husband of almost 70 years, Raymond Thibault of Auburn, her three daughters, Patricia Roy and her husband Donald, Louise Bradford and her husband Lindy and Ann Michaud and her husband Paul, along with 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her parents and two sisters, Bernadette Wagner and Doris Dion.

Funeral Notice

THIBAULT, Rita, 89, of Auburn, died in Lewiston on March 25, 2017. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 PM. Services will be Thursday, 11 AM, Sacred Heart Church. Interment, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
