Rodney M. Ritchie, 51, of Middlesex, NC, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at his childhood home in Lewiston, after a brief, courageous battle with an aggressive cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born in Lewiston on October 8, 1962, he was the son of Carroll and Eleanor Frazier Ritchie. He graduated from Lewiston High School, Class of ’81, and continued his electrical education at CMVTI. He worked with his father and brother all of his life in the family electrical business, and took great pride in a job well done. In 1985, he married the former Jayna Sebra, who passed away in 2001. Together they had two children, Rodney Jr. and Brooke. He married Patricia McKee in 2012 after a lengthy relationship, and she was by his side caring for him throughout his illness. He loved her deeply and she will miss him ever so much. The outpouring of love he experienced from his family and friends during his illness filled his heart. Rodney was an avid NASCAR fan, and “#3”, Dale Earnhardt was his hero. He was also a fan of the Bruins and Red Sox, and enjoyed attending events in all three sports. Rodney leaves behind a large grieving family, including wife Patricia of Middlesex, NC, his son Rodney Jr. of Lewiston and his daughter, Brooke of Lewiston, a step-son, Matt Mckee of Plymouth, MA, his father, Carroll Ritchie of Sabattus, mother Eleanor Ritchie of Lewiston, a brother, Jeffrey Ritchie and girlfriend Michelle Brown of Sabattus, three sisters; Joan and husband Scott Hall of Lewiston, Susan Ritchie and fiancé Michael Buckley of Monmouth, Jean and husband Peter Adamen of Turner, mother-in-law Dottie and husband Donald Sanders of Florida, and sister-in-law Sandy and husband Rodney Gaidaboni of North Carolina. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to our cousin Patsy Willis and Androscoggin Hospice, especially Dave Noonan, for their very special nursing skills and care.  We also would like to thank Dr. Austin for his visits to help Rodney and talk to his family.  He was predeceased by his first wife Jayna Sebra, grandmother Eva Frazier, and many uncles and aunts.
